The NFC East is almost done, but the Cowboys may be bowing down to it during their Week 16 “Sunday Night Football” matchup.

Dallas is hosting the Washington football team and could potentially kill two birds with one stone. They could have won to clinch the NFC East, giving Washington a ninth loss, which would at least give the football team a long shot at making it post season.

The last time the two teams met, the Cowboys beat Washington 27–20, but they were more impressive than that scoreline, as they once took a 24–0 lead. Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott would hope to repeat their offensive success while avoiding a late game pick-six, which allowed Washington to return to that contest.

For many years it seemed that the best NFL game every week went to Sunday Night Football, leaving Monday Night Football with a fairly weak slate of matchups. But while Sunday night football is still as full as ever in 2021, so are Monday nights.

Important games and exciting matchups span the first 16 weeks of the season, with lots of big-name quarterbacks, divisional rivalries, and familiar faces at new locations.

Week 1 features the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders, and Week 10 brings the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers to an NFC West fight. Then, in Week 12, the Washington football team will test their highly-regarded defenses when they take on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks.

The fun matchups don’t end there, so really, you don’t want to miss any of them. The Monday Night football schedule will kick off in a rematch of last season’s wild card matchup with the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, in which the Browns grabbed their longtime rival.
