The Detroit Lions are not the type of people to just sit around feeling sorry for their injury-plagued defense. As per the report made by Adam Schefter, they will be signing linebacker Kwon Alexander of the Denver Broncos practice squad.
In 2015 Alexander was selected in the fourth-round of the NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has since had a decent 10-year career as an NFL linebacker which includes making it to the Pro Bowl in 2017. In the NFL, he has played in 90 games where he registered 639 tackles (54 of them for loss), 13.5 sacks and defended 34 passes.
With that being said, he has suffered some serious injuries during his career. He ruptured his achilles tendon in late 2020, he was sidelined for a month in 2021 with an elbow injury and he ruptured his Achilles tendon once again in November 2023 but this time in the other leg.
Regardless, he has already started a couple of games for the Denver Broncos this season and in week 9 against Baltimore Ravens made sure he earned PFF grade of 92.5.
