Jenny Marie Buss (born September 26, 1961)[1] is an American sports executive who is the controlling owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). [2] [3] Buss is the daughter of Jerry Buss, a real estate investor who later owned the Lakers and other sports businesses. At the age of 19, he started in the family business as the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. The bus later became the owner of the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was also the president of the Great Western Forum before becoming the Vice President of the Lakers. After the death of the bus’s father in 2013, his controlling ownership of the Lakers passed to his six children through a family trust, with each brother receiving an equal vote. Buss took over as team president and represents the Lakers on the NBA Board of Governors. In 2020, she became the first female controlling owner to guide her team to the NBA Championship.

Lakers owner Jenny Buss and general manager Rob Pelinka mistakenly copied Magic Johnson into emails critical of the team's late chairman of basketball operations, reports Bleacher Report senior writer and Fox Sports 1 analyst Rick Butcher. Johnson abruptly stepped down as the team's president of basketball operations before the final game of the Lakers' season against the Portland Trail Blazers. In an impromptu press conference, Johnson told reporters that his position as team chairman did not allow him to be himself. But on Wednesday, Butcher told Colin Cowherd that the email between Buss and Pelinka may have played a role:

Jenny Buss is the daughter of the late Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss and the team’s president and controlling owner. Jenny Buss has a net worth of $500 million. She began her career at the age of 19, when she became the general manager of a professional tennis team, the Los Angeles Strings. After owning a roller hockey team called the Los Angeles Blades, she became president of the Great Western Forum. Thereafter, she became the Vice President of the Lakers following the death of her father. Although controlling ownership of the NBA team fell to each of Jerry’s six children, Buss held a strong leadership role in the organization, becoming team president. She also represents the Lakers on the NBA’s Board of Governors. Initially, all six of Jerry’s children received equal votes in controlling ownership of the Lakers. Buss’ reign as the owner of the Lakers has been successful, and he led the team to the NBA Championship title in 2020.

And Kyle Kuzma

The Los Angeles Lakers have had some time in the bubble and Kyle Kuzma is happy to have some company.

Kuzma is joined in the bubble by his model girlfriend Winnie Harlow and the couple is living it out at the Disney World venue. Kuzma posted a photo with Harlow on Monday night, which garnered a viral response with comments from a variety of users, from Lakers owner Jenny Buss to ex to Nick Young.

“Bubble date starring Winnie Harlow,” Kuzma wrote in the caption of a photo of her with Harlow in a matching outfit.

Children

Jenny, 54, has no children, and in her 2010 book Taking Girl, she mentioned the princess—it was Crooked Jackson who added the edgy middle name “Cujo” to give the dog a more balanced identity—”my center Basketball as the center of “life outside of work.”
