Aaron Rodgers is a professional American football player who currently serves as the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on December 2, 1983, in Chico, California.
Rodgers played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a standout quarterback. In the 2005 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the first round, 24th overall.
Rodgers spent his first three seasons as a backup to legendary quarterback Brett Favre, before taking over as the starter in 2008. In his first year as a starter, he led the Packers to a 6-10 record, but the following year, he led the team to a Super Bowl victory, earning the game’s MVP award in the process.
