Minnesota Lynx Lead the WNBA
The Minnesota Lynx have established the league’s best record at 32-10. Their .762 winning percentage puts them one game ahead of the Golden State Valkyries, who are 31-11.
The Lynx’s position at the top comes after a 101-89 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Sept. 20.
Golden State has also put together an impressive late-season run, sitting at 31-11 with a six-game winning streak according to the latest official standings.
Aces, Dream and Fever Battle Near the Top
The Las Vegas Aces are third at 29-13, followed by the Atlanta Dream at 28-14 and Indiana Fever at 27-15.
Atlanta recently strengthened its position with a 95-84 win over the New York Liberty. The victory moved the Dream to 28-14 and kept the team involved in the battle for home-court advantage.
The Fever are also positioned inside the top five at 27-15, while the Liberty and Mystics are tied at 26-16.
Dallas Wings Drop After Phoenix Loss
The Dallas Wings were sitting at 26-16 before Monday’s matchup with Phoenix, but the Mercury rallied for an 87-86 win.
Kahleah Copper scored 31 points for Phoenix, including the decisive basket in the closing seconds. The result moved Phoenix to 16-27 and dropped Dallas to 26-17.
Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 30 points in the loss, while Jessica Shepard recorded 17 points and 19 rebounds. The result was particularly significant because Dallas moved from the fifth seed to eighth in the playoff race.
WNBA Playoff Picture
The top eight teams qualify for the WNBA playoffs, making the final games important for postseason seeding. At the latest update, Minnesota, Golden State, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Indiana, New York, Washington and Dallas occupy the top eight spots.
The gap between several teams is extremely small. New York, Washington and Dallas are all within one-half game of one another in the standings, while Indiana remains within reach of the teams immediately above it.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles sits ninth at 16-26, meaning the current playoff field has separated itself from the teams below the postseason line.
Teams Outside the Playoff Picture
The Los Angeles Sparks are ninth at 16-26, followed by the Portland Fire at 16-27. Phoenix and Chicago are next at 15-27.
Further down the table, Toronto is 11-31, Connecticut is 10-32 and Seattle is 8-35. Those teams are outside the current playoff picture.

With the regular season approaching its conclusion, the WNBA standings remain important for determining playoff matchups and home-court positioning.
