Von B’Wesson Miller Jr. (born March 26, 1989) is an American football outside linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). Miller played college football at the Texas AM, where he earned All-American honors and was awarded the Boutkas Award as the most outstanding college linebacker in the country. He was drafted second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.

New number
Von Miller has worn the number 58 throughout his NFL career, but he is making a change after being traded to the Rams. The eight-time pro bowler will be wearing a number that is quite familiar, though.
The Rams announced Monday that Miller is taking the number 40, which he wore to college in Texas A.M. Justin Hollins currently wears number 58 with the Rams, so Miller was forced to make the switch.
He received blessings from the family of Ellroy Hirsch to wear the number 40, very politely asking permission before choosing that number. Hirsch is a Hall of Famer and one of the best receivers to have played for the Rams.

Sean McVay said Miller is expected to make his Rams debut against the Titans on Sunday night, something Miller himself hinted at on Monday as well. However, his snap count may be limited, depending on how quickly he gains momentum with his new team.

The Denver Broncos agreed to trade the star outside linebacker Von Miller to the Los Angeles Rams ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline on Monday.
According to multiple reports, the Rams agreed to trade the Broncos for the 2022 second and third round draft, in exchange for Miller.
Miller is Denver’s all-time leader in sacks and one of the best players in franchise history, but trading him now before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2022 makes sense, especially for a pair of high draft picks.
To gain those likes, the Broncos agreed to pay $9 million of Miller’s remaining $10.5 million salary this season, according to Cusa-TV’s Mike Cleese. It works out well for the Rams because it allows them to afford Miller, and Denver was willing to eat up some cap space this year, in exchange for more draft picks next year.
The Broncos still have about $15 million in the 2021 salary cap space that could be rolled over and added to the team’s 2022 cap total. Denver now has nine picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, including five picks in the first three rounds.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, nets a Star Age defender who will team up with Aaron Donald to help the Rams’ defense effort go on a Super Bowl run. Miller will now have a chance to compete for a second Super Bowl ring after leading the Broncos to victory in Super Bowl 50 in 2015.
Denver is working toward rebuilding, while Los Angeles pursues a title with another star, making the trade a win-win for both sides.

Born Vaughn B’Wesson Miller Jr. in Dallas on March 26, 1989, he attended DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, playing and running track for the DeSoto Eagles high school football team. In his junior year, he recorded 37 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 7 sacks and 12 quarterback hares. As a senior, he was named the District 8-5A Defensive MVP after making 76 tackles, 14 tackles for losses, and 6 sacks. He played with future Aggie teammate Cyrus Grey.
In the track field, Miller competed in the 110 m hurdles (PR of 14.38 m), triple jump (PR of 12.65 m), and javelin throw (PR of 37.24 m).
Considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, Miller was listed as the number 15 weak side defensive end in the country in 2007. He joined the Texas A.
