Introduction:

Virat Kohli, born on 5 November, 1988 in Delhi, is a famous Indian cricketer and currently considered as one of India’s potential batsmen.

He is a middle order batsman but can also open the batting order. Kohli can also bowl and is a right-arm medium pacer.

Virat Kohli plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In 2008, he made his One Day International (ODI) debut and was part of the Indian team which won the 2011 World Cup and first test played in 2011 vs WI in Kingston and scored his first Test hundred in Adelaide in the 2011/12 India tour of Australia.

Carrer:

• He came into spotlight after playing for Delhi against Karnataka in a Ranji Trophy match.
• The captain of India Virat Kohli led the team to victory in the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia. He was highly praised for making several tactical bowling changes during the tournament.

Virat kholi, the son of Prem and Saroj Kohli and has an elder brother and sister, Vikash and Bhavna. And done the schooling from Vishal Bharti Public School and Saviour Convent Senior Secondary School.

Childhood:

1. Another short name of virat kholi ‘Chikoo’ was given by his Delhi State coach Ajit Chaudhary in his childhood days.
2. His favourite subject was ‘History’, and he used to hate ‘Maths.’
3. During the sad year of 2006, his father died of a brain stroke, but the very next day after his father’s death, he played a match-saving knock for Delhi against Karnataka, where he scored 90 runs.
4. Kohli had never any backup plan for his future as he always wanted to be a cricketer.
5. He has a number of superstitions. He wears black wristbands, and never forgets to wear his ‘Kada’ before his matches.
