Tyson Luke Fury was born on 12 August 1988 in the Wythenshawe area of Manchester to Irish parents Amber and John Fury, and was raised in a house in Styal. Fury was born three months premature and weighed 1 pound (450 g). His father, John, named him Tyson after Mike Tyson, who was heavyweight world champion at the time. John said: “The doctors told me there was not much chance of him living. I had lost two daughters in the same way who had been born prematurely.” He decided on Tyson as he was a fighter and survived the premature birth.

Should Dillian Whyte reschedule the Otto Wallin fight or hold out for

Yes, I think it should. If the fight is agreed, it should be respected. Warin basically completes the training camp and is aiming for the championship himself, so it’s worth the chance.

Tyson Fury will return to the ring against Dillian Whyte or Joe Joyce in the UK in April, says promoter Bob Arum.

Fury demolished Deontay Wilder to end their classic rivalry and emerge as the unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion and the consensus No 1 in the division.

Oleksandr Usyk took the IBF, WBA and WBO titles from Anthony Joshua and they are set for a rematch in early 2022, meaning Fury must look elsewhere for his next opponent.
