lgaria F6 Futures to reach the quarter-finals. He continued his career in Bulgaria, where he again reached the quarterfinals, but finished as runner-up in doubles. Finalized in 15-year-old Minsk, Belarus. He got his first win at the USA F31 Futures in Bradenton, United States after the unsuccessful Autumn Games. In the new 2014 tour they debuted in Kazakhstan, reaching the semi-finals and final respectively at the two Futures events in Aktobe. He later defeated Belarusian Yarslau Shyla to reach his second victory. Rublev reached the final in the doubles of the Czech Republic F1 Futures, partnering with Pol Andrzej Kapas, and continued his success at the Russia F3 Futures in Moscow, championing the singles and run-up in the doubles competitions.

Prediction

Denis Shapovalov is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the game. However, it would be fair to say that Canada has achieved somewhat less on the ATP Tour so far. Apart from attending the final in Geneva during the clay court season, Shapovalov has not been able to make another final at Tour level this season which is surprising considering his firepower and shot making ability. At Wimbledon, he did brilliantly in the semi-finals, but it is clear that the Canadian needs to improve his shot selection and the tactical side of the game if he wants to be a regular winner on the ATP Tour.

Pablo Andujar produced two of the season’s biggest ups during a clay court swing when he defeated Roger Federer in Geneva and Dominic Thiem in the opening round at Roland Garros. The Spaniard is playing this week using a protected ranking and is currently ranked 92nd in the world. Andujar reached the third round of the US Open and he certainly has the tools to trouble Canada.

However, I think Shapovalov’s game is more suited to indoor conditions and I think he will win in two tight sets.
