Jersey
A little more than 13 years ago, I went to Tony Siragusa’s New Jersey home and asked him what he remembered about his father’s death from a heart attack at the age of 48.
“In the middle of the night, my mom started screaming, so my brother and I went off and started giving him CPR, trying to keep him alive for a bit,” he said.
Then I asked him if that’s why he said, “I live every day as if it’s my last day?”
And Tony Siragusa told me: “I think people take it lightly. … ‘I’m gonna do it tomorrow.’ Can’t be here tomorrow, brother.”
Sadly, the football world learned on Wednesday that tomorrow will not be here for Tony Siragusa.
