Who does play for
New Orleans Saints tight end Tysom Hill breaks a tackle on a 28-yard QB keeper against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season.
Injured
When the New Orleans Saints opened training camp last week, one player who was absent from the physically unable to perform list was Tessome Hill.
The utility player whose primary focus will be playing tight end this season was on the practice field to start camp, after his 2021 season ended with Lisfranc’s injury.
That injury was expected to keep him off the field to start the year, but he was there for the inaugural fall camp.
The former double-threat BYU quarterback, however, ran into another injury-related delay in his development.
Last Friday, Saints coach Dennis Allen said Hill suffered a rib injury in practice that would put him “a bit out”.
Asked about his absence, Allen said, “He hurt his ribs yesterday, and he’s going to be out for a while.” “He’s out today with an injury, and it has nothing to do with the leg.”
Injury update
Hill received two full drills and was dropped with an injury report. The Saints will be without Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry, while Chris Olev is doubtful. We may be seeing a lot of hills once again this week.
Thursday Update – Hill returned to full practice on Thursday and should be good to go for Week 6 vs. Bengals.
According to Mike Triplett, refreshing his four-touchdown performance against the Seahawks on Sunday, Hill was limited in practice on Wednesday.
While some might think he suffered a back injury after taking the Saints 39-32 over the Seahawks in Week 5, Hill is dealing with a rib injury.
