Simone Biles is preparing for another change of scenery as she plans to officially relocate to Indianapolis during the 2026 NFL season to support her husband, Jonathan Owens.
Owens signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts in March, giving him another opportunity in his NFL career. Biles has now confirmed that she intends to spend more time in Indianapolis after initially remaining primarily in Houston.
Simone Biles confirms Indianapolis move
Biles recently explained that she has spent most of the season in Houston but plans to make the Simone Biles Indianapolis move later in the year.
“I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there a little bit later,” Biles said in an interview with PEOPLE.
The seven-time Olympic gold medalist also spoke positively about Indianapolis, noting that she had not yet experienced much of the city but was impressed by the Colts’ stadium.
Her main priority, she said, is supporting Owens and seeing him stay healthy and enjoy his football career.
Jonathan Owens begins new chapter with Colts
Owens’ move to Indianapolis marks another chapter in a career that has taken him to several NFL teams. Before joining the Colts, the safety spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.
During Owens’ stint with the Bears, Biles temporarily moved to Illinois and lived there with him for more than two years. After his Chicago contract ended following the 2025 season, the couple returned to their home in Texas.
The latest Indianapolis move shows that Biles and Owens continue to navigate their relationship around his NFL career.
Biles had already shown her support for Owens after his Colts signing, posting that she was excited to call Indianapolis home for the upcoming football season and expressing how proud she was of him.
Biles attends Owens’ Colts debut
Biles was also present when Owens made his regular-season Colts debut against the Baltimore Ravens on September 13.
The couple shared a pregame moment on the sideline, continuing a tradition that fans have seen throughout Owens’ NFL career. Biles had also attended Colts preseason games during August and wore outfits connected to Owens and the Indianapolis team.
Her regular appearances at NFL games have made her a familiar presence on the sidelines.
What does the move mean for Biles’ gymnastics future?
The Simone Biles Indianapolis move comes while questions remain about whether the gymnastics legend could compete at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Biles has previously described her chances of competing at LA 2028 as 50-50. While she has continued to leave the door open to another Olympic campaign, she has not committed to returning to competition.
Her recent activity has nevertheless generated renewed attention. Biles has been spotted training at the World Champions Training Center in Houston and recently shared videos of herself performing floor routines.
For now, however, Biles appears focused on supporting her husband during the NFL season.
Owens’ next challenge will come on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs, while Biles prepares to divide her time between Houston, Texas, and her planned stay in Indianapolis.
The move gives Simone Biles another temporary home as she supports Jonathan Owens, while her own long-term gymnastics plans remain undecided.
