Shawn married Carrie in January 2018 after divorcing his ex-wife Annette Everson. Shawn, who spent 12 years in the NBA, has six children with Everson, including his four daughters Chelsea, Saira, Charity and Cheyenne, and his two sons Chase and Chance.

They had a very strong relationship and often credited with helping him get through dark times, so their split was quite surprising.
