No contest

UFC 276 PPV main card begins with an antagonistic climate when hype ends.

The fighters met in the middle and immediately began exchanging leg kicks. From there a lot of feet and measurements started happening. When things were already slow, O’Malley accidentally kicked Munhoz into the cup. After stopping for a while, the fight started again. Munhoz continues to throw his naked leg kicks while O’Malley will launch at least one jab.

Munhoz continued to go after O’Malley’s feet in the second stanza. O’Malley was responding with straight punches, and even threw a wheel kick that was close to landing. Pedro had accidentally sustained an eye injury, causing yet another break in the already slow action. The doctor came to check on Munhoz, who said he could not see with his right eye, so the bout was over.

Fight time

The main card for UFC 276 is scheduled to begin on Sunday 3rd July 2022 at around 3 AM BST.

With that in mind, we are expecting both fighters to move into the octagon on Sunday, July 3, 2022, between 3 AM BST and 3:30 AM BST.

At the time of writing (Monday 27 June 2022), O’Malley vs Munhoz is set to open the UFC 267 Main Card, so it is a sure bet that they will head to the Octagon right after the Main Card PPV program begins.

Although it is worth noting that depending on how long the fights last on the undercard, its timing can change.

Did win

An unintentional hit by Sean O’Malley in the second round saw Pedro Munhoz unable to continue as the bantamweight struggle to open UFC 276, ending in despair.

The fight was halted after Munhoz went ahead with a combination and O’Malley kept his hand in defense but a finger went straight into the Brazilian’s eye.

Time was called with referee Jason Herzog giving Munhoz a chance to try to recover from the blow. Unfortunately, Munhoz could not open his eyes and told the ringside physician that he could not see, who needed to hear the doctor to stop the contest.

The end came at 3:09 in the second round with Herzog declaring the fight a no-decision.

Fight tonight

Sean O’Malley is scheduled to fight Raulian Paiva at UFC 269.
