Sean O’Malley returned to winning ways at UFC 260 as he knocked out Thomas Almeida in the third round. O’Malley entered the fight after the first defeat of his professional career. A loss that he does not consider to be real.

Suga’ Sean O’Malley faces Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera at UFC 252 in August 2020. Although the fight was a grand affair, with both putting up excellent striking performances, things soon went south for Sean O’Malley.

O’Malley’s leg is gone after Marlon is attached to Vera’s already worn limb. This caused O’Malley to fall to the ground immediately, and Vera wasted no time in seizing the opportunity.

Marlon Vera engaged ground-and-pound, short O’Malley with a devastating elbow. The fallen O’Malley was unable to respond to Vera’s attack, and the referee stopped the fight after seeing enough. Marlon Vera wins the fight via TKO.

Although the fight was about a year ago, Sean O’Malley says he didn’t lose to a better fighter that night. The 26-year-old said that if his leg had not hurt, he would have raised his hand that night. And, although the fight took place almost a year ago, Sean O’Malley has stuck to his stance of going undefeated.
