Tottenham Hotspur are making progress in talks with Manchester City over a potential deal for Brazilian winger Savinho, with the Premier League clubs also discussing a move for forward Omar Marmoush.
The negotiations are not yet complete, but reports indicate that discussions between Tottenham and Manchester City are advancing. Savinho has emerged as one of Spurs’ key attacking targets as new head coach Roberto De Zerbi looks to strengthen his frontline ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League season.
Tottenham Step Up Savinho Transfer Pursuit
Savinho has been on Tottenham’s radar for more than a year. Spurs explored the possibility of signing the winger during the previous summer transfer window, but Manchester City decided to keep the Brazil international at the Etihad Stadium.
That decision has not resulted in a regular starting role for Savinho. The 22-year-old made only seven Premier League starts last season, increasing uncertainty about his long-term future at Manchester City.
With Tottenham now pushing for a deal, Savinho appears increasingly open to the possibility of leaving City in search of more consistent first-team football.
Savinho’s Manchester City Situation
Savinho joined Manchester City from French club Troyes in 2024 in a deal worth around €40 million. Before moving permanently to England, he spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Girona in Spain.
His season with Girona helped establish his reputation as an exciting attacking player. Savinho scored 11 goals and supplied 10 assists as Girona secured a top-four finish and qualified for the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
However, his opportunities at Manchester City have been more limited. Despite his technical ability and pace, he has struggled to establish himself as an automatic starter under Pep Guardiola.
The winger’s lack of regular Premier League starts is now an important factor in his potential transfer.
Why Tottenham Want Savinho
Tottenham are looking for greater attacking quality after a disappointing Premier League campaign. Spurs finished 17th last season and scored only 48 goals in 38 league matches.
De Zerbi has already overseen significant changes to Tottenham’s midfield and defence, but the attack remains an area requiring additional investment.
Savinho would give Tottenham another versatile attacking option capable of operating from wide areas. His pace, dribbling ability and experience in different attacking systems could make him an attractive addition to De Zerbi’s squad.
A move to north London could also provide Savinho with the regular playing time he has struggled to secure at Manchester City.
Savinho and Marmoush Double Deal
Tottenham’s discussions with Manchester City reportedly involve both Savinho and Omar Marmoush.
Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 after an impressive spell in Germany. He finished his first full campaign at City with eight goals in 36 appearances across competitions, but he also found himself competing for minutes in a squad featuring Erling Haaland.
The potential double deal would represent a major attacking investment for Tottenham.
Savinho could provide width and creativity, while Marmoush would offer additional options through the middle and in wider attacking positions.
Savinho Transfer Fee and Contract
Manchester City previously resisted Tottenham’s interest in Savinho, but the situation has changed after another season in which the Brazilian was not a regular starter.
City signed Savinho for around €40 million from Troyes, while Tottenham discussed a package worth approximately £43.3 million with City during the previous summer.
Savinho also signed a new contract with Manchester City in October that runs until 2031. That long-term agreement could give City significant negotiating leverage if Tottenham attempt to complete the transfer.
The final valuation for Savinho and Marmoush remains unclear, but Manchester City would reportedly expect substantial fees for both players.
Tottenham’s Busy Transfer Window
Tottenham have already been extremely active in the 2026 summer transfer market.
The club have spent heavily on players including Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke, while also strengthening other areas of the squad.
Reports have placed Tottenham’s spending at more than £200 million before any potential agreements for Savinho and Marmoush are completed.
The club have also generated funds through player departures, including the sales and loan arrangements involving several members of the squad.
Tottenham’s spending reflects a major change in transfer strategy as the club attempt to rebuild after their poor league finish.
Could Savinho Move to Tottenham?
A Savinho transfer to Tottenham is not yet confirmed. Talks between the clubs are progressing, but there is still work to be done before an agreement can be reached.
For Savinho, the potential move could represent an opportunity to revive his momentum and become a more important player in the Premier League.
For Tottenham, signing the Brazilian would add pace, creativity and attacking versatility to a squad that needs significant improvement in front of goal.
If Spurs can complete deals for both Savinho and Marmoush, their attacking options would look considerably stronger heading into the new Premier League season.
Savinho Transfer Latest
The latest Savinho transfer developments point to Tottenham being serious about signing the Manchester City winger. The two clubs are continuing negotiations, with Savinho and Marmoush both potentially heading to north London.
Nothing has been finalised yet, meaning supporters will have to wait for further developments before either transfer can be considered complete.
Savinho’s future is nevertheless becoming one of the key transfer stories involving Manchester City, and Tottenham’s pursuit could determine where the Brazilian winger plays during the 2026-27 season.
