The allegation: In late July, a court heard that Ryan allegedly kicked his ex-girlfriend in the back and threw her naked out of a five-star hotel bedroom.
Ryan, who denied all three charges, spoke during the 33-minute hearing only to confirm his name and to file a non-guilty plea from Dockyard.

Lisa Roberts QC defended: ‘These are serious allegations, each of which has been challenged.’ The court also heard that a civil case was going on relating to the ownership of the dog of the couple.

In an earlier hearing at Manchester Magistrates’ Court, prosecutor Andrea Griffiths said the assault charge against Kate was an alleged domestic assault involving a ‘deliberate headbutt’, aggravated by the fact that Giggs was ‘into alcohol’.
