Teenage jockey Billy Loughnane took his second win at the meeting aboard George Boughey’s 14-1 shot Soprano in the Sandringham Stakes.
The 18-year-old rider, nicknamed ‘Billy the Kid’, said this week was “getting better and better” after Tuesday’s win over 80-1 outsider Rashabar.
Joe Fanning, 35 years Loughnane’s senior, rode Pilgrim (18-1) to victory in the Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes for father and daughter David and Nicola Barron.

Royal parade
Once again, the royal couple lead the royal procession that begins each day’s event at 2 p.m. local time. They rode in a horse-drawn carriage on the racecourse grounds with family friends Lord and Lady Bamford.
