Highlights
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports the Green Bay Packers’ cornerback Rasul Douglas has been traded to the Buffalo Bills.
PFF
Douglas signed a three-year, $21 million extension in March 2022 that was restructured last offseason, but he has played well in 2023. PFF listed Douglas as the No. 1 cornerback entering Week 8 with an 85.6 overall rating. A third-round pick for a fifth-round pick isn’t exactly trivial change, but it’s a deal that makes Buffalo better.
ESPN reports that the Bills were interested in a cornerback was Jaylon Johnson of the Chicago Bears, but one has to imagine that Chicago wanted a prime pick for their stud corner. Douglas doesn’t have a terrible backup plan. Now he has a chance to make an impact as a contender, and I think he does that in Sean McDermott’s system.
Net Worth
As of 2023, Rasul Douglas’s net worth is $4 Million Dollars.
Wife
His wife name is NY-Asia Franklin. Douglas welcomed his first child, son Jeremiah Lusher Douglas, with his girlfriend NY-Asia Franklin on October 2, 2018.
Story
Nothing has ever been easy for Rasul Douglas and that was okay with the Philadelphia Eagles cornerback. The harder he worked, the more he knew he was going to succeed.
Douglas grew up in East Orange, New Jersey, the fifth of seven children raised by his grandmother.
“I mean, it was cool,” Douglas said. “We were never bored. There was always someone to hang out with and work with.”
Mike Davis, Douglas’s Little League baseball coach and a mentor to at-risk youth in East Orange, played a big role in Rasool’s early years.
“He was the one who got me off the streets,” Douglas said. “He made sure we did what we had to do.”
