The Rams held their Super Bowl parade on Wednesday to celebrate the 23-20 win at Sophie Stadium. And while the team absolutely deserved to celebrate, no one expected a massive parade with millions in attendance. All that time spent in St. Louis did not help the franchise build a passionate Rams fanbase in Los Angeles, and since returning, fan interest can best be described as lukewarm.
Time
CBS Los Angeles reported that the 1.1-mile parade route will begin at the Shrine Auditorium and end at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, where a rally will be held at the Coliseum’s Olympic Plaza. Beginning at 11 a.m. PT at the intersection of Royal Street and Jefferson Boulevard, the parade will continue to Figueroa Street, close off Exposition Park Drive and then end at the Coliseum at 11:45, then a rally will be held at the Coliseum’s Plaza . From noon to 1 a.m. PT.
Lakers star LeBron James has already expressed his desire to party with the Rams – and to celebrate the Lakers’ 2020 championship as their parade was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After years of knocking on the doors of the championship, the Rams broke through after beating the Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI in 2021-22. The win was particularly sweet for the franchise, as the game was played at the team’s home ground at Sophie Stadium.

The championship is a first for the City of Los Angeles since the Raiders won a title in just a few years of their tenure in LA, when they knocked out Washington in Super Bowl XVIII on January 22, 1984.

In 1995, L.A. Lost the Rams to St. Louis and the Raiders to Oakland. In 2016, the Rams returned, followed by the Chargers a year later. Both teams have struggled to find a real foothold in the Lakers and Dodgers-mad city, and it shows little with today’s parade, which runs along USC’s campus just 1.1 miles down Figueroa Street in South L.A. , and ends at Ram. Following the Rams’ Super Bowl victory last Sunday, there will be a parade and rally tomorrow, February 16, 2022, to celebrate the team’s championship. The parade begins at the Shrine Auditorium at 11:00 a.m., and participants will walk through Jefferson Boulevard and Figueroa Street to Exposition Park, where a rally is scheduled in front of the Coliseum’s peristyle. We are writing to you because of the impact this event will have on our campus operations.
road closures and delays
While we wait to finalize specific details, we understand that Figueroa Street will be closed between Adams Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and Jefferson Boulevard will be closed between Figueroa Street and Hoover Street Will go Traffic officials will start closing these roads at 8:00 am, with all closures likely by 9:00 am. Now, LA is celebrating the holders of the Lombardi Trophy with a victory parade—the first time since 2014, when the LA Kings won the Stanley Cup.
