Porter Andrew Moser (born August 24, 1968) is a college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the University of Oklahoma men’s basketball team. Moser spent 10 years (2011-2021) at Loyola University Chicago, helping take the Ramblers to the Final Four in 2018.

She tied the knot with her husband Porter in August 1997. She often shared wedding pictures on social media platforms.

When the Oklahoma men’s basketball freshman left his class on November 12 at 9:45 a.m., he immediately drove to the Lloyd Noble Center. Moser didn’t want to be late, but he wasn’t going to practice or go to workout sessions.
He was on his way to a game between the OU women’s basketball team and Arkansas State that was supposed to tip-off at 10:30 a.m. as part of the Sooner Jr. Fans Field Trip Day. Moser was there to see his older sister, Jordan Moser, ready for the OU.
Jake and Jordan Porter are two of Moser’s four children, who became OU men’s basketball head coach in April after calling the shots for 10 seasons at Loyola Chicago.
The Moser siblings followed suit. Jake moved to the team after graduating from Loyola Academy, while Jordan transferred from the Loyola Chicago women’s team after completing his sophomore year.

New men’s basketball coach Porter Moser will earn $2.8 million in year one in his first contract with Sooners, while new women’s basketball coach Jenny Baranczyk will receive $475,000.
OU Daily reported the details of the new contracts on Thursday night after this week’s OU Board of Regents meeting.
Moser received an annual base salary of $300,000 (paid by the university) as of June 30, 2027 and “additional outside income for personal services, fundraising, publicity, public relations, support, speaking engagements” and a six-year contract for $2.5. lakh per year. Moser will receive a $100,000 increase from July 1, 2023, an “annual living benefit” to the “initial amount” of $400,000 on April 1, 2022, and a “annual amount” of $200,000 each year beginning May 1, 2024.

His brother, Jacob Groves, is a 6-7 forward, who averaged 9.3 points and 4.2 rebounds for Eastern Washington last season, while shooting 55.2% from the field as a sophomore.
Another major newcomer is Jordan Goldwire, a graduate transfer from Duke. The member of the All-ACC defensive team averaged 5.8 points and 4.0 assists last season. His 2.25 steals per game last season was ninth in Duke history, and he led the ACC in assists/turnover ratio.
“I think people respect where he is,” Moser said. “They’re looking to him to lead where we’re headed. Me too.”
Ethan Chargois, a 6-9 forward, is a super senior who transferred from SMU. He started 86 of the 108 games of his career for the Mustangs and averaged 9.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
The top returning scorers are Umoza Gibson and Elijah Harkless. Gibson averaged 9.1 points last season and Harkless’s 8.1.
The key will be putting it all together.

“For me, being the first year, there are a lot of unknowns,” Moser said. “You think you know based on practice and what they’re doing, but once the games start, you really start to learn a lot about your team.
