The Eagles are 6-7 on the season and are enjoying a bye week after a dominant win over the Jets in Week 13.

Philadelphia will look to reintroduce Brandon Brooks into the lineup while getting Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders back in what could become an even more impressive rushing attack.

With the Eagles set for 4 weeks including 4 straight division games to kick off the season, we’re predicting next month for the Birds.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 5-6 after beating the New Orleans Saints on Sunday! Final score: 40 to 29.

The Birds dominated the low quarterback throughout the season, and the trend continued against Trevor Simian. The Saints couldn’t go much against Jonathan Gannon’s defense, especially at the start. New Orleans went a little late in the game which reduced the lead to 11 points but it was not enough.

Philly managed to get the ball moving with his ground game, despite facing the NFL’s top-order run defense. They stopped too many times in rival territory, settling for Jake Elliott field goals. But Jalen Hurts eventually closed the game with a 24-yard touchdown run.

All told, it was a really big win. The Eagles improved their chances of getting a playoff spot while also hurting the Saints’ postseason hopes.

A wild first half saw seven scoring drives across eight possessions for both teams. The Eagles scored the ball every time, and the Jets scored three first-half touchdowns as Zach Wilson played the finest half of his nascent NFL career. It was a very promising first half for the embattled Jets quarterback, but a kicker that couldn’t kick and a Jets defense ruined the day as the Eagles entered halftime with a 24 – 18 lead.

The Jets opened the second half on defense and immediately gave up their 5th straight scoring drive as the Eagles kicked a small field goal to take a 9-point lead. The Eagles used the remaining time in the third quarter with another long drive after the Jets were dismissed three more, then kicked a field goal early in the fourth quarter to take a 12-point lead. It was the Eagles’ sixth consecutive scoring drive as the Jets’ defense continued the day off. A Zach Wilson interception was followed by the Eagles’ seventh consecutive scoring drive, which ended in another field goal and a 15-point Eagles lead. At this point, with less than 10 minutes to play and the Jets scoring two touchdowns and a two point conversion, the game was over. One final unsuccessful Jets drive limited a completely lifeless second half for the Jets.
