Jackson Merrill Continues to Produce
One of the bright spots for San Diego was Jackson Merrill, who tied the game in the seventh inning with a towering 449-foot solo home run, his 14th of the season. The young outfielder continues to provide consistent power in the middle of the Padres’ lineup despite the team’s narrow defeat.
