With Malaki Branham emerging as a complimentary star to Liddell, Ohio State’s best player, the Buckeyes are a lot to handle right now. Maryland will be lucky to keep it close against a team that is still playing for a Big Ten title. Unless Scott goes off like he did in the first meeting, look for the Buckeyes to win big Prediction.

The Buckeyes can be seen today at 4 pm on CBS.

The Ohio State basketball team is riding high after two thrilling wins against Indiana and Illinois. In those games, the Buckeyes blew big second-half leads and had to scratch and claw to hang on for a victory. Now, they take on a Maryland team that is struggling.

Maryland is coming into the game with just a 13-15 record overall and just a 5-12 record in the Big Ten. They already lost to the Buckeyes earlier in the season in Columbus 82-67. It’s been a rough season for the Terrapins so far and Ohio State wants to keep it that way.

Prediction:

The main reason they lost is because of poor shooting and rebounding. The Buckeyes were awful from behind the three-point line. They shot 28.6% from three. The two best players for Ohio State were awful. E.J. Liddell was only 3/10 and Malaki Branham was only 4/13.

Losing to a bad Maryland team 75-60 is an indictment on this team’s ability to do anything once the NCAA Tournament rolls around. If someone can’t step up when Liddell and Branham can’t carry the team, more losses will be coming for the Buckeyes.
