Contract incentives:

The deal is reportedly for three years and $36.6 million, with $20 million in guaranteed money. His average salary of $12.2 million per year makes him the sixth highest-paid running back in the league, according to spotrac.com. We’ve signed RB Nick Chubb to a 3-year extension!

Three key players have agreed to contract extensions in the last year, including running back Nick Chubb, who on Monday signed a three-year, $36 million deal.

Game Log:

Peyton and Eli Manning were on ESPN2 for their alternate “Monday Night Football” broadcast, affectionately known as the Manning Cast. For most of the night, the brothers couldn’t get enough of Browns running back Nick Chubb.

So with less than three minutes to go in the second quarter, and the Browns trailing 10-0, they were as perplexed as seemingly every Browns fan on Twitter that Chubb sat on the sidelines while D’Ernest Johnson picked up three carries amounting to 6 yards, and the Browns’ drive stalled at the Pittsburgh 46-yard line.

Stiff Arm:

The Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers have had ugly performances in the passing game on Monday Night Football, but their running backs have at least made incredible plays.

In the third quarter, Pittsburgh running back Najee Harris added another highlight to his terrific rookie season with a nasty stiff arm on Cleveland’s M.J. Stewart Jr.

Fantasy:

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb was quiet in a 26-14 loss to the Steelers in Week 17. Chubb carried the ball 12 times for 58 yards and was unable to haul in his lone target.

Fantasy Impact

Chubb was apparently dealing with a rib injury during the first half, which explains why Cleveland only gave him four carries before halftime. He will be a mid-range RB2 in Week 18 against the Bengals.
