Nashville Superspeedway and MTSU’s Charlie & Hazel Daniels Veterans & Military Family Center formally launched a partnership with an announcement, before drivers started their engines in the Rackley 200 on Friday.

“Ladies and gentlemen, Nashville Superspeedway, in partnership with the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center at Middle Tennessee State University, take this moment to ask all veterans, retirees or those actively serving our nation to stand up Can thank you as a racing community for your dedication and sacrifice in protecting our country,” the announcer said. “Thank you for everything you do, and continue to do, in service to the United States of America.”

Retired Army Lieutenant General Keith Huber, MTSU’s Senior Advisor for Veterans and Leadership Initiatives, promoted partnerships to honor veteran service and draw attention to university work with military-connected students.

Huber said, “It is amazing that Nashville Superspeedway now joins iconic Nashville brands like Predators, Grand Ole Opry and Nashville Sounds to help show support to the Daniels Center and honor those who serve our nation. “

Schedule

In addition to predicting a hot day with temperatures in the 90s, the National Weather Service is calling for rain and thundershowers after 3 p.m. Whistle and before 11 pm. whistle.

Needless to say, it is not ideal for a race in which the green flag is about to fall at 5:23 pm. ET (4:23 a.m. CT). Humidity will already be high, so rain can be expected due to rain and during the race.

According to Bob Pokras of Fox Sports, the race cannot go ahead until 4 p.m. Whistle, because that call has to be made 24 hours in advance.
