The Chicago Bears have added a new weapon for quarterback Justin Fields. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, the Bears traded for New England Patriots wide receiver N’Keel Harry.

Per Rapoport, Chicago sent New England a 2024 Seventh Round selection in terms of compensation.

Harry is a first-round pick by the Patriots in the 2019 NFL draft. There were reports that indicated that New England and Harry were heading for a breakup before training camp.

After all, the Patriots now have a strong recipient group and Harry hasn’t lived up to his first round of billing. In three seasons with New England, Harry has made a total of 57 receptions for 598 yards and four touchdowns. But maybe Harry needs a change of scenery.

Trade options

Patriots wide receiver N’Keil Harry and the team are exploring trade options, his agent Jamal Tuson told NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

A workout video of Harry was posted by Tucson on Friday. Garafolo shared the quote tweeting the video that Harry’s agent said the former first-round pick “understands what’s at stake this season and is doing his part to make sure he’s ready.”

Additionally, Harry “has had positive conversations with the Patriots about exploring business possibilities.”

Trade rumor

It was a bold strategy from a player who hardly contributed as a receiver. Not only did the Patriots deny his request, but Harry made himself even more unconventional by suffering a shoulder injury during the preseason.

All signs point to the Patriots pulling the plug on Harry this off-season, but this is more likely to come as a trade off than a release, trading him will save more cap space and release. He still has just $13.4 million in that regard. Kyle Van Noy this week.

The good news is that Doug Kayd of Pro Football Focus understands that several teams have expressed interest in Harry, so trading him may be a walk in the park.

With that in mind, here are some clubs that could help expedite the pending breakup between Harry and New Englanders.
