Moesha Johnson (born 19 September 1997) is an Australian swimmer. He won a silver medal in the 10 km open swimming at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The River Seine is back in the spotlight at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as marathon swimmers hit the water.
Moesha Johnson completed a spectacular race to win the silver medal behind open water legend, Dutchwoman Sharon Van Ruwendaal.
Johnson led for most of the race, but was overtaken by Van Roovendaal, whose incredible surge at the death helped her slingshot past the Australian to take the second open water gold of her career.
“It’s going to take a while to sink in,” Johnson said.
“We could see the screen as we swam, so I knew by the second last lap that we were split into groups of three, so it was just a matter of what color [medal] it would be.”
However exciting as the racing was, all the talk in the build-up was about water quality which had troubled the organizing committee from the moment their bold suggestion of holding these events here was announced.

Dutch ironwoman Sharon Van Ruwendaal won her second Olympic women’s 10km marathon swimming gold medal by snatching the lead from Australia’s silver medalist Moesha Johnson in a long slog across the Seine River on Thursday.
Eight years after topping the podium at Rio 2016, Van Rouvendaal celebrated his second Olympic victory. He bided his time against the current before striking late in the final stage, zipping around a pylon at the Pont des Invalides before crossing turn 26. -John Johnson for leadership.
The Dutch champion held the lead in the last few hundred meters and crossed the finish 5.5 seconds ahead of Johnson after a grueling two hours, three minutes and 34.2 seconds. Genevra Tadeucci won bronze for Italy in 2:03.42.8.
Organizers said the water quality in the River Seine was within acceptable limits, after which the race went ahead as scheduled.

Moesha’s mother Paula Johnson was all smiles as she discussed her daughter’s accolade and it was clear she was extremely proud of her daughter.
