Trubisky saw some early success with the Bears, leading the team to the NFC North Division title in its second season while being selected for the Pro Bowl. He left the team in 2021 via free agency, and signed with the Bills as Josh Allen’s backup.

Trubisky was born on August 20, 1994, in Mentor, Ohio. He attended Mentor High School, where he played for the Cardinals football team.[2] During his high school football career, he passed for 9,126 yards and 92 touchdowns and ran for 1,559 career yards and 33 touchdowns. He was the recipient of the Ohio Mr. Football Award in 2012. Trubisky committed to playing college football for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under head coach Larry Fedora.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed a two-year contract with quarterback Michelle Trubisky

According to Tom Pelicero of NFL Network, the base salary of Trubisky’s contract is $14.25 million over two years. However, the deal is worth up to $27 million with incentives.

The nearly $13 million incentive gives reason to believe that the Steelers have started holding out hopes for Trubisky. He will compete with Mason Rudolph, Dwayne Haskins and fourth quarterback for the starting job.

The Steelers may still draft a quarterback with potential starting in 2022. As of now, it can be assumed that Trubisky is the starting front-runner in Pittsburgh’s mind.

Trubisky redshirted his first year at North Carolina in 2013. [4] He played ten games in 2014 as a backup for starter Marquis Williams. [5] He made his collegiate debut in Williams’ relief against the Liberty Flames in a 56–29 win. In the game, he was 10-in-16 for 66 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He threw his first career touchdown to tease Jack Tab in the third quarter. [6]

Trubisky appeared in North Carolina’s bowl game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at the end of the season. In the 2014 Quick Lane Bowl, he was 7-of-9 for 65 yards and a touchdown to receiver Kendrick Singleton in a 40-21 loss to the Scarlet Knights. For his freshman season, he completed 42 of 78 passes for 459 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions.
