Lewis Hamilton is moving out of his $49,500,000 New York City penthouse!

The Formula One driver, 36, who will be vying for his eighth World Drivers’ Championship title on Sunday, has sold his six-bedroom, eight-bathroom apartment in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood, PEOPLE can confirm. It was listed along with Nick Gavin of Compass.

The Drive to Survive Netflix star bought this unit at the property—a former warehouse built in 1883—back in 2017 for $43,991,454, property records show, and first tried to sell it in 2019, seeking $57,000,000.

A three-story penthouse of over 12,000 square feet is huge for a home in Manhattan. In addition to multiple beds and bathrooms, it has a private lift, plunge pool, fine room, AV room, media room, multiple terraces. Almost all ceilings are 20 feet high throughout the space.

Formula One real estate deals are in the news for the second time this week. Following the announcement of a major stakeholder in McLaren’s Formula One team trying to break a record with a $110 million inventory in Santa Barbara, it appears race car driver Lewis Hamilton has sold his New York penthouse for $57 million. The Real Deal has reported. This 8,900-square-foot unit at 443 Greenwich in Tribeca is in the same building that houses other famous residents including Meg Ryan, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd, and Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. Tribeca has been ranked as the highest priced neighborhood in Manhattan for the past several years, largely due to an influx of superprime condos selling for tens of millions of dollars. It won’t break the price record for a downtown Manhattan condo, but it will come pretty close. The current record holder is a $59 million condo bought by billionaire Robert Smith at Getty.

Winning mindset is the desire to be successful. It is the desire to want something, to want to do something great, unaware of how great you can be or how good you can be. It is worrying about failure, the fear you have, and getting over that fear.

I am Lewis Hamilton. I am a Formula One driver and champion. At my job, when you’re driving at 200 mph, if you lose your focus, you can put a wheel in the grass, and you can go into a wall. it’s dangerous. People have lost their lives, and you need to be laser focused the whole time. So Extreme Performance is exactly this game.

So through these classes, I’m going to talk to you about mental preparation, how I prepare for my events, physical exertion and how I train my body, to get to where I am today. I’ll talk about travel. Struggles, failures, importance of taking risks, learning, mostly from your failures, strengthening yourself and striving to achieve your goal. And hopefully these are some things that can help you.

I started the race for remote control cars that most kids do when they were five years old. I was running against people 10, 15 years older than me, and when I was five, I was beating them. And my dad thought I had great eye coordination, so he bought me a go kart. And we ended up getting into this racing world.
