The Miami Heat announced that the Raptors giants will miss their eighth consecutive game on Monday night due to a personal matter.

Lowry missed Miami’s first two games against the Raptors this season due to ongoing personal issues and is unlikely to play Tuesday night.

If Lowry can’t go on Tuesday, his return to Toronto will be postponed until April 3, when the Heat play the Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena.

While Lowry’s absence and personal issue are certainly unfortunate, his return to Toronto would not be the same without fans in the arena. Hopefully, if the COVID-19 pandemic improves and lockdown restrictions are lifted, Scotiabank Arena could be at full capacity when it returns this year.

Miami Heat guard Kyle Lowry has been away for two weeks and will miss his sixth straight game on Saturday against the Toronto Raptors for personal reasons.

The Heat have accepted his absence and handled it very well. This season, Lowry averages 13.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 8.3 rebounds, shooting 41.7 percent.

“It’s always important to realize that basketball is second, third or so on people’s list of importance,” said Heat forward Jimmy Butler, who scored a team-high 26 points in Friday’s win against the Los Angeles Clippers. Make sure your family is well and you are well. It’s nice to know we have people who can do what Kyle does for us. I miss her. We all remember him. We want him and his family to be well.”

Heat center Bam Adebayo echoed Butler’s comments regarding Lowry being sidelined, saying it makes it easier to know they are winning. This makes it easier so that he can focus on his personal dealings with his family.
