Graphic images of Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s death in a helicopter crash were shown at bars and an awards ceremony, according to legal documents filed in a federal court. Kobe’s widow Vanessa Bryant has sued the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the Fire Department, the county and eight police officers, alleging invasion of privacy and negligence. She filed the suit in September 2020 following reports that officials were taking and sharing photographs of human remains from the January 2020 accident. Nine people, including Kobe and 13-year-old Gianna, died in the accident.

Sports has obtained some of the final photos taken of Kobe Bryant with his daughter Gianna, and it’s clear the two of them played basketball on the brain in one of their final moments. The photos were shot on Saturday at the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, Kobe, where Gigi’s Mamba team played two eighth grade girls’ games that day. You can watch KB carefully from the side as Gianna was on the court. At one time Kobe was seen giving some tips to his child. It is not clear whether he is the head coach of his current squad or not, but from what we can tell, he was definitely in coaching mode. We know that she has coached other teams she was in in the past. Kobe said that Gianna had an aspiration to be in the WNBA, and by all accounts…she was well on her way to getting there. One thing that is very clear from this snapshot moment is that they were both fierce competitors and loved the game they played.
