Why is out

Justin Jefferson: Why is out| What happened to| Hurt| Injured

Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson was ejected from the game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth quarter with a right hamstring injury and the team is not sure when he will return.

While trying to cut his route during a third-down pass in Kansas City territory, Jefferson slipped on the turf and fell to the sideline, limping slowly after catching the back of his right foot. The Vikings scored a touchdown after two games, but lost 27–20 to fall to 1–4 on the season.

“It’s still very early,” coach Kevin O’Connell said after the game. “See where he is as we move forward here and diagnose what that injury is, and what that timeline looks like.”

Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson left Sunday’s game against the Chiefs in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury. His return is listed as doubtful.

Jefferson slipped on a route in the red zone shortly before the Vikings scored a touchdown, making it a 27–20 ballgame.
