Garoppolo reportedly had a more serious relationship with girlfriend Alexandra King. She caused a stir on social media when she wrote “karma” on an Instagram story in 2018 after tearing her ACL.

TMZ spotted the couple spending time together at Disneyland in March of 2018, with some pictures of the couple in hand. According to the New York Post, she also called Garoppolo “my Valentine” in a Valentine’s Day Instagram post in February, though that post appears to have been deleted.

Jimmy Garoppolo’s girlfriend, AKA Boston model Alexandra Rose King, is apparently now his ex-girlfriend, as he denied they were ever an item in the first place.

Contract incentives

According to NFL Network’s Albert Breuer, Garoppolo’s new deal will net him $6.5 million of a guaranteed base salary. He will also bring in $500,000 per game through roster bonuses. Garopolo could reel in up to $8.45 million more, depending on whether he reaches some play-time incentives, per Breuer.

This means that Garoppolo could earn us up to $15.45 million in 2022.

Garoppolo’s contract is as follows:

$6.5 million Fully Guaranteed Base Pay
$500,000 in roster bonus per game ($29,000 per game)
$250,000 for each game he takes at least 25% of objectionable photos
Another $100,000 for each of those games that end in a 49ers win.
$500,000 if he takes at least a 50% offensive snap in a 49ers playoff game
Another $500,000 if he takes at least 50% offensive photos in the conference championship
Another $500,000 if he wins the conference championship
Another $1 million if he takes at least 50% of the offensive photos at the Super Bowl
Of course, that’s only a fraction of the $24.2 million non-guaranteed base salary that was due to make up before the signing of the renegotiated deal. However, with his new contract, Garoppolo will be compensated like one of the league’s best backups.

Prime time record

Garoppolo made his debut in 2017 with the 49ers in a Week 12 win against the Chicago Bears.

Following that matchup, Jimmy G won his next five games in his first seven matches (including two with New England) to bring his record to 7–0. Ben Roethlisberger was the last quarterback to achieve that feat in 2004.

Garoppolo was expected to start all four games during Brady’s suspension, but a shoulder injury during Week 2’s win against Miami sidelined the quarterback for the next two competitions.

In his only other debut against the Dolphins, Garoppolo was benched at halftime of the 2020 matchup, when he completed seven of 17 passes for 77 yards and threw two interceptions.

Garoppolo suffered a high ankle sprain, which he suffered in his first season against the New York Jets. He returned as a full-time starter after losing to Miami in Week 5, but sprained his ankle in Week 8 and was placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the 2020 season.
