New hair
Jimmy Butler adopted a new look for media day and the NBA world immediately took notice.
The Miami Heat forward arrived for the team’s first official day of work this season with eye, lip and nose piercings, a new hairstyle and his nails painted black.
It’s become a trend of sorts for Butler, who departed from his usual look at media day last year with dreadlocks.
“I am very emotional right now. This is my emo state and I love it. It’s me, said the butler. “I’ve been feeling that way lately.”
It seemed as if his teammates had become a little cautious. Heat center Bam Adebayo – who had not seen his teammate before meeting with reporters – thought someone had photoshopped something when a reporter showed him photos of Butler’s look from the day.
