Melbourne Stars’ Glenn Maxwell will not play during their KFC BBL|14 opener as the all-rounder is still nursing a hamstring injury he picked up when fielding in last month’s T20 match against Pakistan.
Maxwell was already in doubts to feature for the Stars during the nexus of the season. This was according to the head coach Peter Moores and new captain Marcus Stoinis who pointed to his unavailability for the first game.
