Celebration

Gabe Davis: Celebration| Touchdown celebration| Week 5

The Buffalo Bills got a dominant win over the Miami Dolphins.

In the contest, the first TD of the day was a laser from Josh Allen to Gabe Davis. Allen found a way to create history with his throw. Not only that, but just days ago Davis himself revealed an amusing background to his TD celebration.

Davis took to TikTok to confirm the origin of his TD celebration, which we’ll admit, we didn’t even notice. Apparently, popular comedian Shane Gillis had been harassing Davis for weeks and asking him to do bizarre celebrations after scoring a TD.

Gillis highlighted during a podcast how desperately he wanted Davis to celebrate. This all stemmed from a child covering a part of his face on social media and then throwing up various signs with his hands.

Touchdown celebration

In a recent podcast appearance, Gillis had this to say about the Buffalo Bills, Gabe Davis and the inspiration behind his unique touchdown celebration:

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of comedians having a connection to the bills, and especially Gabe Davis. Comedian Burt Kreischer told The Drive with Charlie & Dan last year that Davis wore custom cleats representing Kreischer’s podcast with Tom Segura, 2 Bears 1 Cave.

Not for nothing, but Davis scored four touchdowns wearing Crusher’s custom cleats. Add that performance to his game last weekend, where he impersonated comedian Shane Gillis and scored a touchdown, and suddenly, Davis is setting a trend.

Week 5

Fantasy football managers should always be aware of NFL International Series games as they usually start early on Sunday morning. It’s Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season when the Buffalo Bills take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. It will be important for managers to check and set the lineups before kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET.

The Bills and Jaguars feature several players who frequently appear in many fantasy lineups, as they entered the year with the two best overall offenses in the league. Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis are two of them, each serving as a WR2 for their team in a prolific passing attack. Each of them have significant weekly upside, especially when playing in favorable matchups.

Managers with fantasy rosters featuring both Kirk and Davis may be debating who to include in their Week 5 lineups. With the help of the Start/Sit Optimizer, the following breakdown can make the decision a little easier by exploring their recent performance and direct weekly matchups, among many other factors.
