On June 28, 2012, Fournier was selected by the Denver Nuggets in the 2012 NBA Draft with the 20th overall pick. On July 11, 2012, he signed his rookie-scale contract with the Nuggets. He then joined the Nuggets for the 2012 NBA Summer League. In the Nuggets’ first 73 games of the 2012–13 season, Fournier appeared in only 29 of them and only once, recording 10 points or more. He appeared in nine straight games to finish the regular season, including starting the last three. During this late season, he averaged 12.3 points and scored 17 points or more in four games, including a season-best 24 points on 14 April 2013.  In July 2013, Fournier rejoined the Nuggets for the 2013 NBA Summer League. On October 30, 2013, the Nuggets exercised their third-year team option on Fournier’s rookie scale contract, extending the contract through the 2014–15 season. On February 23, 2014, Fournier scored a career-high 27 points against the Sacramento Kings.

Ivan Fournier will get a fresh start after reportedly agreeing to a four-year deal worth up to $78 million, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. According to that report, the deal includes a team option for a fourth year. Fournier finished the regular season with an average of 17.1 points and 3.4 assists per game, while shooting 41.3 percent from the three-point boundary in 42 games with two different outfits. Wing had a great start to the season with the Orlando Magic, averaging 19.7 points per game, before a deadline trade for the Boston Celtics in exchange for Jeff Teague. His time in Boston was limited by the league’s COVID-19 protocol, but he made the move with at least 15 points in his last seven games.
