Most likely, he refused to sign up for additional fights before the final fight on his contract. The UFC sends a low-ball offer because he’s boring and not good enough. She hopes to win her last fight and makes an impressive journey to negotiate more money. She still wins, the fight sucks, and the UFC gives her the boot.

Sergei Khandozko makes a statement against Dwight Grant in a featured UFC Fight Night 205 prelim bout.

Grant (11-5) opened the fight aggressively and Khandozko (27-6-1) bounced wildly. However, it would be Khandozko who would take Grant to the floor at the start of Round 1 with a bad left hook. Despite the adversity, Grant would fight back in the fight and manage to crack the Russian as well. Grant will be the busiest fighter in Round 2, but Khandozko will clip the American with a left hook that will clearly hurt. Khandozko would continue with punches until the fight stopped at 4:15 of Round 2.

Funeral

Dwight “DJ” Grant was murdered in October, and the three juveniles accused of his murder have been in custody for months.

On Thursday, all three were in court for a hearing and we heard from Grant’s parents for the first time. He spoke at a hearing for Christie Parisian as his attorney tried to release him on bond.

“She stood to my face and said she didn’t know what happened to my son. She was standing right in front of my face,” said Madeleine Emil, Grant’s mother. “And I don’t know if she still was alive and I could help him.”

Dwight Grant Sr. said: “The defendant chose to deprive his life of me, his family, his friends.”

Grant, 18, was killed in the staircase of his Miramar apartment complex.

Parisian’s lawyer argued that he had no idea that Grant would be executed when he lured her out of his apartment with the promise of sex, bringing him under the authority of André Clements and Jasleen Smith, about whom Police say that he put her to death.

“Evidence suggests he was manipulated to engage in the murder without knowing it was about to take place,” said Peter Batalion, a lawyer for Parisien.

The state, armed with hundreds of pages of text messages between Parisian and Clements, argued that she knew exactly what was happening and that the teens shared a twisted, deep fascination for violence in their digital exchanges.

“She knew it was a murder,” prosecutor Christine Bradley said at the hearing. “Ms. Parisian and Mr. Clements, in the month of their messages, they have talked several times about murder, about stabbing people. … In this case, on October 3, she says, ‘Me Like your opinion and all but it’s scary weather and my toes will turn red, to represent the blood I’m moving after someone has been put to death.'”
