Benched
Some fans may have thought that Jones’ poor performance led to him being benched late in the game. It was not so. On the Giants’ final drive, it was not Jones under center, but backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
Salary
Jones reached a four-year, $160 million extension with the Giants in March, making him among the top 10 paid quarterbacks in the NFL when he signed the deal. The Giants signed Jones with $82 million fully guaranteed through 2026 and up to an additional $35 million in incentives.
