The 2021 college football season is coming to an end, which means bowl season is here and we will soon be crowned a national champion. There are many intriguing bowl games to watch, but the main focus will be on the college football playoffs. Georgia and Michigan will head to the big game to take on either Alabama or Cincinnati. It will be a wild month of December for football as we look forward to the championship game in January.

The first round of Friday’s conference title games is in the books and now it’s time for a loaded Saturday of impressive games as championship week in college football is here. Some of these games will not only result in pride but also serve as closing arguments for teams aiming for the college football playoffs. No. 1 Georgia and No. 3 Alabama will compete in one of the most anticipated SEC Championship Games of all time. Georgia is essentially a lock for CFP, but Alabama needs a win to go into the post season and gain confidence.

2 Michigan is in its first Big Ten Championship game, and a win over No. 13 Iowa will pass Jim Harbaugh’s ticket to CFP—something he has avoided since taking over the program.

It’s going to be a pretty busy college football weekend. Here’s a viewer’s guide to help you navigate through the action.

No. 5 Oklahoma State vs. No. 9 Baylor (in Arlington, Texas) – afternoon on ABC: The Cowboys won Bedlam last week with a defensive performance in the second half of the ages, and are looking for another signature win and style points CFP Show off to the selection committee. Last week was a big day for quarterback Spencer Sanders, but it’s going to be more difficult against a strong Bear defense here.

No. 1 Georgia vs. No. 3 Alabama (in Atlanta) – 4 p.m. On CBS: The Bulldogs defense has been one of the best in a generation, and it’s the final act until the postseason matchup against an Alabama team that has been inconsistent throughout the season. Meanwhile, Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young could close out the Heisman Trophy on Saturday afternoon if he has a big game ahead.

No. 21 Houston at No. 4 Cincinnati – 4 p.m. On ABC: The Bearcats are in a CFP position right now, but several other teams, including Oklahoma State and Notre Dame, are on their heels. Houston has won 11 straight games and quarterback Clayton Tunne has settled in Nice
