Retirement

Cole Beazley’s time in Buffalo is up and retires.

The team announced Thursday that the Bills have released the veteran receiver.

Beasley, 32, has produced an impressive career, especially for an undrafted player, playing supplementary roles in Dallas and Buffalo and racking up 550 catches for 5,709 yards and 34 touchdowns in 10 NFL seasons. He played a key role at Buffalo, catching 231 passes for 2,438 yards and 11 touchdowns in three seasons.

Even as teammates came and went, Beasley remained incredibly consistent, appearing in at least 15 games in each of his three seasons with the Bills. His age hasn’t been much of a deterrent. The only drop in production came in the touchdown department, falling from six in 2019 to four in 2020 and just one in his 2021 age-32 season.

Weight

His height/weight is 5′ 8″/174 lbs. He was born on April 26, 1989 in Little Elm, Texas. His college is Southern Methodist.

Trade

The bills allowed Beasley – who was set to move – to seek a business in early March, but the parties were ultimately unable to find a suitable business partner.

Beasley wants to continue his career and expects interest from other teams now that he is a free agent.

The move has saved about $6.1 million on bills in the cap space this year. The team also created cap space by restructuring the contracts of linebacker Matt Milano and safety Micah Hyde, shelling out a combined $9.716 million. Buffalo agreed a six-year, $120 million deal with Von Miller late Wednesday.

Wife

Cole Beasley is married to Christine Beasley and won the aisle in 2014.

Kirstin Allen Willis was born on 7 May 1990. Like Cole, he’s also from the Lone Star State. Kirstin was raised in the city of Plainville, Texas. Although it is not known exactly when the couple started dating, they tied the knot in 2014 during a ceremony in Coppell, Texas.

He tweeted: “I will get vaccinated and be an advocate for it if Pfizer puts a percentage of my earnings in my wife’s name.” Cole began to debate the subject with fans and others in the NFL community. His tweet received over 1,000 replies and some fans wanted to know more about his wife before deleting his account. Here’s more about Kirstin Beasley and why she made headlines when her husband still played for the Cowboys.
