Charles Everett Johnson (January 3, 1972 – July 19, 2022) was an American professional football player who was a wide receiver for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills from 1994 to 2002, before playing college football for the Colorado Buffaloes.

According to WNCN-TV, Johnson was serving as the assistant athletic director at Heritage High School in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The cause of his death was unknown.

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Johnson with No. 17 in the 1994 draft from Colorado. He would later be paired with his college mate Kordell Stewart for a few seasons.

Charles Johnson died on January 17, 2022 at the age of 51. He was born on December 8, 1970, during a blizzard in Portland, ME to parents Terry and Cheri Johnson.

He lived in Celine County from the age of 13, where he graduated in 1989 from Benton High School. He graduated from Pulaski County Technical College in 1999 with an associate degree in computer maintenance technology. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton, AR.
