Farrell’s Take: Fiction. Let me preface this by saying that I think it could be good. Caleb Williams and Brelon Allen in the backfield reminded me of Russell Wilson and Monte Ball a decade ago. And for those who think all Wisconsiners know how to run a football, recall Wilson’s one season in which he threw 3,175 yards and 33 touchdowns while finishing ninth in Heisman voting.
Rumors began when Baltimore Ravens coach Bobby Engram began to be mentioned as the next offensive coordinator in Wisconsin. Engram is apparently a longtime family friend of the Williams family and has a great relationship with Caleb. But I’ll still be stunned. The NIL is believed to have played a major role in Williams’ decision.

Former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Caleb Williams is reportedly down two schools he wants to transfer to, the finalists LSU Tigers and USC Trojans, according to a report from OKC Sports Director Dean Blevins.
Williams hit the portal in recent weeks after Lincoln Riley left for USC.
Williams started seven games for the Sooners in 2021 after grabbing Spencer Rattler as a starter against Texas. Williams finished the year 136/211 (64.5%) for 1,912 yards and 4 INTs for 21 points, including 79 runs for 442 yards and six scores on the field.
Last week it was reported that Williams had visited USC and UCLA, but it looks like the Bruins are now looking on the outside.
Williams was a former five-star prospect who came to the Sooners specifically because of the Lincoln Relays, so it’s natural to think the Trojans have the upper hand in this two-team race. However, new LSU coach Brian Kelly has an impressive track record of his time at Notre Dame, and obviously LSU is much closer to his home in Washington DC.
However, this is expected to be a commercial decision for Williams regardless of location, and given Lincoln Riley’s potential to be the No. 1 NFL Draft pick, the Trojans should still be the favorite, unless proven otherwise.
Meanwhile, Sooners is still believed to be in the running for USC transfer to Jackson Dart, who appears to be down for Oklahoma and Ole Miss. Oklahoma also recently flipped UCF QB Dillon Gabriel from UCLA.

Most Wisconsin fans were quick to quell rumors that the Badgers could turn into quarterback Caleb Williams, the top transfer prospect in the market.
