Brendan Rodgers is 48 years-old and the current manager of his third Premier League club Leicester City.

The Northern Ireland-born coach played in his youth with Ballymena United, before signing on professional terms with Reading, but had to retire from professional football at the age of 20 as a result of a genetic knee condition.

The former defender continued his partnerships with non-league clubs Newport County, Witney Town and the now-defunct Newbury Town, while remaining on Reading’s books as a coach and then academy director.

Rodgers moved to Chelsea as head youth coach from September 2004 after impressing first-team manager Jose Mourinho during a spell in Spain. Rodgers credits Mourinho for his impeccable preparation and command of the small details.

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has highlighted the lack of pressure from Manchester United’s central positions as a key field in the tactical battle that will decide the game at King Power Stadium.

Despite taking the lead via a surprise Mason Greenwood goal, United were beaten 4–2 by the Foxes in the Premier League. Caglar Soyunku equalized Yuri Tielemans before placing Leicester ahead.

Marcus Rashford made it 2-2 with eight minutes to go but United were immediately behind again when Jamie Vardy scored and Patton Ducka completed the scoring in injury time.

It was noticeable early in the game that United were set up on a 4-2-4 offensive when Leicester’s defense had the ball, but Soyunku and Johnny Evans were under pressure.

It was something that Rodgers touched upon when he described how his side had fared to claim such a sweeping victory.

Leicester City are back from their international break and they expect it to be a little better this time around.

Returning from the first international break, they recorded just one win in seven, and that was against Millwall in the Carabao Cup. Wins in the Premier League and Europa League are hard to come by.

One of the fixes could be the return of Johnny Evans to fitness, and Rodgers will give an update on the centre-back at his press conference this afternoon.
