The Braves traded away two more arbitration-eligible players in two separate trades with Kansas City on Friday, sending right-handers Kyle Wright and Nick Anderson to the Royals. Atlanta acquired right-hander Jackson Korver in deal deal. Anderson was traded for $100,000.

The same day the Royals included reliever Nick Anderson in a deal with Atlanta, the club traded two former first-round pitchers, sending Kyle Wright to Kansas City for Jackson Korver.
Wright, 28, comes with three arbitration-eligible years and is not a free agent until 2027.
The Royals may not see Wright pitch in the 2024 season after undergoing right shoulder surgery in October.
However, he could be valuable in the long run.
He led the majors with 21 wins and posted a strong 3.19 ERA in 2022, making him the first Braves pitcher to lead the league in wins since Tom Glavine in 2000.

The Braves have traded right-hander Kyle Wright to the Royals in exchange for fellow righty Jackson Korver. Wright underwent shoulder surgery after the season and is expected to miss the entire 2024 campaign, although Kansas City will have control over him for two years after that.
Wright, 28, was the 5th overall pick in the 2017 draft, and although it took him several years to get there, he ultimately turned in an impressive performance in 2022. After posting a 6.56 ERA through 70 innings over parts of four seasons from 2018-21, Wright turned in career bests in nearly every capacity in 2022. In a lifetime of 180 1/3 frames, he recorded a 3.19 earned run average with a 23.6% strikeout rate, 7.2% walk rate, 55.6% grounder rate, and 0.95 HR/9.
