NFL
Gibson’s progression from limited to full after just one session clears the way for him to play against the Giants on Thursday. The second-year back had a strong debut against the Chargers, rushing 20 times for 90 yards and catching three of his five targets for another 18 yards. He should be back in charge of the Washington backfield this week.
Gibson’s shoulder was examined by the training staff during the season opener against the Chargers, but he played on. His availability for Thursday’s game against the Giants isn’t in jeopardy, but Gibson’s practise participation will be worth keeping an eye on throughout the short week.

Gibson ran the 40-yard dash in 5.03 seconds at the 1999 NFL Scouting Combine. He was dubbed “a proto-type right tackle in the NFL” because of his “huge body with big legs and a gigantic chest.”
Now it’s up to us to persuade someone on the internet that Deion Sanders crabwalked a 4.11 in the 40-yard dash at the 1989 NFL Combine while wearing a ghillie suit and a wind parachute.
