Andrew Wiggins is still breaking up with Bill Duffy after agent for the Minnesota Timberwolves swingman negotiated a max deal.

The Timberwolves recently sent Duffy and Wiggins a contract for a rookie expansion deal, ESPN.com’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday. Duffy negotiated a five-year, $148 million contract extension, but “it is unclear how soon Wiggins will sign the deal after moving on from Duffy”, wrote Wojnarowski.

According to Wojnarowski, Duffy said he was aware that other agencies were recruiting Wiggins and “went to offer solicitations that included no commission fees on contracts.”

“We are disappointed that Andrew made this decision, especially after a three-year partnership where we worked closely with Andrew and his entire family,” Duffy said. “Unfortunately, tampering is a common problem in our industry, and that is why I have been in contact with the NBPA to discuss my rights in this matter. Obviously, whenever Andrew signs the maxim extension that we have We will work with the NBPA to ensure our interests are protected.”

Golden State Warriors swingman Andrew Wiggins on Monday explained his decision to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, noting that he felt “compelled” to do so to continue his NBA career.

After the Warriors’ presidential opener at the Portland Trail Blazers, his first public comment since getting the shot, Wiggins said, “The only choice was to vaccinate or not play in the NBA.” “It was a difficult decision. Hopefully, it will work out in the long run and in 10 years I am still healthy.”

Wiggins’ decision comes after the league recently denied his application for a religious exemption. Subject to Wiggins’ vaccination status prior to training camp, the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s restrictions require anyone 12 years of age or older to participate in indoor events to be vaccinated. As part of that mandate, starting October 13, Warriors players must show proof of vaccination before entering a chase center, unless there is an approved medical or religious exemption.
