Walker Johnny da Silva Barra de Souza (born 30 March 1992), better known as Johnny Walker, is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the light heavyweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). A professional competitor since 2013, Walker gained entry into the UFC by competing in Dana White’s Contender Series and also previously competed for Jungle Fight in his native Brazil.

What happened to
Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker will both be disappointed in Abu Dhabi after finishing in a bizarre no-contest at UFC 294.
The end came when Ankalev secured a takedown and delivered a knee strike that head-butted Walker while he was still on the ground. The referee immediately stopped the action to give Walker time to recover.
The ringside physician came to examine Walker and began asking him questions, including his location, to which Walker did not immediately answer. The referee then asked the doctor if Walker could continue.
UFC no contest
Johnny Walker vs. Magomed Ankalaev promised to be an entertaining light heavyweight scrap, but the UFC 294 bout ended in a no contest after the cageside doctor declared Walker unable to continue.
It was unclear what Walker said to the doctor, who downplayed the groin kick he gave earlier in the night as a result of an accidental foul on Victor Henry in another no-contest. But after a brief conversation with the Brazilian light heavyweight, the doctor declared him unable to continue, and the fight was canceled at the 3:13 mark of the first round.
Walker and Magomed needed some time to get that message, and when UFC security and UFC CEO Dana White entered the cage to defuse the situation he and Ankalaev briefly threatened to continue the fight.
Kicked out
UFC light-heavyweight Johnny Walker has revealed the reason the promotion kicked him out of T-Mobile Arena following his win last weekend.
Walker, 30, ended a two-fight losing streak by defeating Ion Cutelaba in the opening fight of the UFC 279 main card in Las Vegas. The Brazilian’s celebrations were soon cut short as he found himself on the streets, still wearing his fight gear, with his coach John Kavanagh claiming: “The UFC just came and kicked us out. No tickets for us. And were not allowed to stay backstage to watch… were dragged out the back door, not even allowed to wear shoes.”
Kavanagh, who is also the coach of global superstar Conor McGregor, forgave the UFC for ousting him when Walker was gifted a $50,000 performance bonus for his win. Walker said that UFC officials told him that there were not enough seats in the arena to host him after his win, which is why he and his coaches were ejected.
