After a humid first round at the 2022 Players Championship, more rain is expected on Friday as the first round is over and the second round gets underway. Hopefully, it stays away for longer than it did on Thursday when it delayed action a total of five hours. If not, there is a real danger of this tournament running on Monday morning.
Tee times
After a false start two years ago and the disappearance of several notable names from last year’s field, the Players Championship has come back in full force. Not so in 2022 as 47 of the world’s top 50 players are taking the ancient TPC Sagars course.
Unfortunately, The Players suffered a false start of a different kind this year as bad weather delayed Round 1 action twice. With five hours of play lost, the first round will continue on Friday in Jacksonville, Florida, with the tournament expected to reach the full second round before dark.
The most spectacular time of the golf season – six months of top-tier events featuring the world’s best golfers – continues in Jacksonville, Florida, with world No. 1 Jon Rahm entering as the favorite. Pairings
The first round of the 2022 Players Championship clashed on Friday after a long season delay in Round 1 on Thursday. As a result, many players haven’t even hit a shot until Friday morning, and it’s the golfers who will have to turn. Begin Round 2 almost immediately after Round 1 ends.
Tee time is everywhere, and there is no chance of finishing Round 2 on Friday. However, after playing with some rain at the start of the day, the end of Sunday looks like it could still happen.
